In 1960, Nixon electors were appointed by the governor because Nixon eeked out a very close election. But prior to January 6th, 1961, JFK's court battle prevailed and that same governor sent a slate of JFK electors to Congress to be counted instead.

See the difference? JFK proved he won Hawaii in court so he was awarded their electors. Whereas Trump lied about election fraud he couldn't prove in court, but still tried to get electors for him counted in states he lost.

In 2000, Gore asked for recounts in accordance with the law.
