Stephen Miller is spearheading a plan to shepherd through a new bill in the House/Senate that will ensure - going forward - only US citizens are counted in the Census.

This should add 12 seats into the GOP column.

Counting non-citizens in the Census that is used to determine number of Representatives is just plain wrong. This is essentially providing non-citizens a voice in our government. That should not be the case.

The Constitution says EVERYBODY gets counted, because it's necessary to apportion resources according to POPULATION. If non-citizen slaves hadn't been counted, then the South would never had had "proportional representation", or received federal funding for their infrastructure.

Schools, hospitals, water treatment facilities, sewage treatment facilities, and other service all humans require, citizen or not, are all allocated based on population.

If MAGA wasn't so completely dependent on the lies Trump tells them, they would KNOW that.

No, It has nothing to do with resources. It has to do with representation and taxation from the states, because taxes were supposed to be proportional to the number of people.

There were no water treatment or sewage facilities back then, and there was no federal public school system...
