So what about the money Hillary's slush fund received from foreign governments? Isn't that an emolument? Why aren't you douche bags whining about that?Try to keep up. President Trump has pledged to donate any money his hotel earns from foreign governments to the US Treasury. The Constitution expressly forbids the president from receiving money from foreign governments. The amount is not specified, just that the president can't accept money from foreign governments. If he owns the motel that foreign diplomats stay at, he is receiving money from foreign governments, regardless of what he does with it afterwards.
I thought you conservatives were all about the president following the Constitution. How come you don't think Trump has to follow it?
Doesn't matter what he pledges to do with the money after he receives it. It's the receiving of money from a foreign government in the first place that the Constitution forbids. Doesn't matter if you keep it, burn it, or donate it afterwards, it's the initial receipt of the money that is the problem.
Hillary isn't the president. Trump is. That clause only applies to a sitting president. Do try to keep up.
Wrong, douche bag. It covers everyone in the government.
