Arrests of Democratic lawmakers, raids on small and mid-sized businesses, arrests of people with no criminal history, detaining of American citizens just because they are of Latino descent, heavy handed tactics against peaceful protestors - Trump supporters have to be loving this!
Behind all this dazzling show of force is a growing erosion of support for Trump and his followers from the same people who were instrumental in electing them to begin with: Independents just like me, who see these actions not as a means of enforcing the law, but as ego driven scapegoating of a large portion of our population, most of which work and pay taxes just like everyone else. Not for one minute to I believe that you are an independent. Independents voted for Trump because he boldly campaigned on enforcing Federal Immigration Law just like others before him did but didn't have courage to do. If you voted for him, you'd be supporting him. I don't believe you voted for him either.
