The Army has one 250th Anniversary of its founding. One. To fail to commemorate that would have been historical malpractice. To organize protests instead of celebrating that should disqualify the protesters and whoever organized/funded them from citizenship.

There was never a parade or a "show of force" planned which is what Trump was demanding. Nice to see that the Army managed to maintain control. Especially after the way Trump treated soldiers at Fort Bragg.

The reviewing stands were empty and Trump looked defeated. Between waking up to the news of the anti-abortion religious nut murdering Democrats, concerns the parade might be cancelled due to weather, followed by millions demonstrating against his policies and his administration, Botox Barbie getting him bad press for declaring she was "liberating California from the Communist leadership" and manhandling Senator Padilla, it was not the birthday he envisioned.

At least Melania showed up on his birthday for the first time in years. If that was her. She appears to have had a nose job, among other things.

Trump doesn't do any of those things.

The Trump was ALL ABOUT HIMSELF. The Army had NEVER planned a parade and didn't want one. The generals spent 4 years telling Trump this was a BAD IDEA the last time he was in office.

He calls them "suckers and losers". He lied to get out of the draft. The soldiers he sent to Los Angeles for a photo op were sleeping on the floor, and didn't have proper food and water. He fired 70,000 people from the VA, and cut their funding. No President in my lifetime has EVER disrespected the American military like Donald Trump. And then he made that drunken bum Hegseth, Secretary of Defense.

Don't insult us lying and saying that Trump cares about the soldiers, other than as props for his greatness. Trump told the Army that the soldiers to be seated behind Trump were to be "good looking - no fat soldiers" and also Trump supporters. I couldn't help but note that there weren't a lot of minorities seated behind him either, even though 31% of the members of the US military are minorities.

None of my friends who live in Washington attended. None of them are military or military families. They mostly work for the government, or they did until recently. They went to some of the No Kings Demonstrations in Maryland or Virginia. One is a retired lobbyist. She stayed home and was more concerned about her husband who is currently in Jerusalem.

Bone Spur frowned through most of his Big Beautiful Birthday Parade.

It did not occur to him he would be observing real men parade past him. Men he forced to be there.

If you look at his parade in term of ratings, it was a pretty big flop. 200,000 were estimated to appear, but the best estimate of actual attendance was in the tens of thousands range.

Meanwhile, MILLIONS appeared at counter protests all over America.

Most of Congress was not at Bone Spur's parade. Not even the Republicans showed up in force.
