No. He doesn't Multi-national business people have direct foreign intercourse with other countries every day of the week. And many lobby those countries to change their policies to favor those businesses, sometimes successfully, sometimes not.And until that day. Trump has to refrain from direct foreign intercourse.
And if any of those "policies" infringe upon policies advocated or dissuaded by the US, that is a violation of the Logan Act.No. He doesn't Multi-national business people have direct foreign intercourse with other countries every day of the week. Trump doesn't care about rules or tradition. Or ethics. And if any of those "policies" infringe upon policies advocated or dissuaded by the US, that is a violation of the Logan Act.
They have to keep any foreign intercourse within matters, that are not controlled by US policy. They can stand in the middle of main street, and call for lifting sanctions against a country, but they can't say that to the agent of a foreign country.
One more time. Only a deranged leftist afflicted with violent TDS would even bring up the Logan Act this day and age.And if any of those "policies" infringe upon policies advocated or dissuaded by the US, that is a violation of the Logan Act.

At any rate the fact remains that if the Logan Act was used to prosecute somebody--it has never been used to prosecute ANYBODY since is was enacted in the 18th Century--it would no doubt be ruled unconstitutional by SCOTUS because of the broadness and vagueness of the language.
Leave it to leftists though to dig up any old law, however obscure and obsolete, to use to try to prosecute Trump. Because leftists have no sense of propriety, honor, justice, ethics, morals, or common sense far too often in these things. And that's a fact.
Which is why so many of his associates tried to create lines of secret communication with Russia. And discuss matters that would influence US policy, such as telling the Russian Ambassador to talk Putin out of responding to the newly enacted sanctions.Trump doesn't care about rules or tradition. Or ethics.
Hell, he doesn't even understand them.

You forget. The Logan Act was passed in response to the acts that Trump is trying to repeat. One more time. Only a deranged leftist afflicted with violent TDS would even bring up the Logan Act this day and age.
I'll type more slowly.
There has been one--1--uno--a single--indictment using the Logan Act in all of its history. That one indictment was in 1799--that is EIGHTEENTH CENTURY--and that one indictment was never prosecuted.
Repeat: there has never been a single prosecution using the Logan Act since it was enacted in the 18th Century.
Most legal scholars consider the Logan Act unconstitutional because of its too broad a scope and too vague language, but that has never been tested since the Logan Act has never been used in 225 years.
There is nothing illegal about Trump meeting with a head of state or any other official of another country.
Now unless you are an attorney at law and constitutional scholar don't bother me with this stuff any more because your argument is seriously embarrassing to you or should be.
grand follow the && stab Marty..... ~S~
What part of your argument should be embarrassing to you do you not understand? No idea what abortion law in the newly formed Arizona territory has to do with the Logan Act. But I would be fascinated to know how it would apply. You forget. The Logan Act was passed in response to the acts that Trump is trying to repeat.
That nobody has been prosecuted, in no way invalidates the law.
Just look at the 1864 Arizona abortion law.
Neither law had been prosecuted for over 150 years. What part of your argument should be embarrassing to you do you not understand? No idea what abortion law in the newly formed Arizona territory has to do with the Logan Act. But I would be fascinated to know how it would apply.
Good thing you weren't killed there, you would have been just another "sucker" and "loser" to Trump. The History We're Made to Believe Is Upside Down, Backwards, and Make-Believe
At Munich, the West wanted to help turn Hitler loose on Russia. Chickenhawk war-profiteers always use their ignorant and illogical interpretation of it to enhance their profits. It's what suckered me into volunteering to fight in Vietnam.

You're hitting on a fair point Sage.Epitaph on the Vietnam War Memorial: PROUD TO DIE TAKING A RICH KID'S PLACE
The well-hidden purpose of the Vietnam War was to kill off or take the fight out of the bravest sons of the White working class. Mission Accomplished.
Trump went to school with the draft-dodging pro-war sons of those who made money off the war. He had inside information about what sucker-bait LBJ's policy was. The Pentagon had requested that LBJ activate the Reserves and the National Guard, but LBJ knew that the HeirHeads who had taken over his party wanted him to keep their sons out of the fighting.
No faggot, we are pointing out your heroes' disregard for the law.Loggin' On to Logan Gives Them Wood
The Demwits, with their verbal dysphoria, are associating the Logan Act with the Gayist Log-Cabin Republicans, which makes it seem like a good idea to these fairyphiles.
The Secret Life of Wealther RomineesYou're hitting on a fair point Sage.
There's rational meaning in Trump's suckers and losers remarks and it needed some explanation.
It's basically: America's wars waste lives without accomplishing a purpose.
Pleased to hear that you're starting to 'get it' at least. The Secret Life of Wealther Rominees
It reminds me of Mitty's father having to drop out of the race for the 1968 nomination because he said he had been brainwashed about Vietnam. But we all were; that is the point of overthrowing the ruling class and its decades of lying about its superior knowledge and competence.
