Why would it cost “trillions”?

Other than the 6 month journey there, not much different than a moon mission.

First they need to send a remote rocket to land on Mars that can then be launched back into space. That’s really the toughest thing.

The program is forecast to cost over a $Trillion.

Right now, tax payer money is not paying for Musk's activities. If the government pays Musk for anything, it is different than the thousands of companies doing business with the government

The only thing that's going to makes us anything close to Haiti, is over spending. Every time they dump $1 trillion into the economy, it devalues the money that's already in your possession. If BRICS takes over the worlds reserve currency, it'll devastate us financially & economically.
5 years ago, BRICS wasn't hardly worth mentioning. But they're constantly picking up new members.
And Trumps idea of fixing this is to threaten countries who join BRICS.
