We had two and only two measures of atmospheric temps in 2005 = satellites and balloons. Both returned highly correlated data, measuring the same thing. In fact, in 1998, then the "warmest year on record," both satellites and balloons showed Earth's atmospheric temperature was BELOW NORMAL for that year....

So, we had CO2 rising as a "percent" of the atmosphere, and temps in the atmosphere .... flat to slightly down....

And both series were highly correlated, fully validating the accuracy of both series....

What was a taxpayer funded climate "scientist" to do??

A: admit the truth that the DATA shows CO2 increases DID NOT WARM ANYTHING

or

B fudge both series with uncorrelated "corrections" and keep the FRAUD and the bilking of the US taxpayer going.....



Meanwhile, one Earth polar circle, the Antarctic, has 9 times the ice of the other, and the "warmer" side won't answer WHY.....

Your subject line sets you up for the insults. Saying CO2 is not a factor proves you have no business discussing the topic. I don't care if it can be proven that temps have risen at all. CO2 absorbs IR radiation, so its continued rise makes higher temps inevitable. Also, knocking scientists because of who funds their research begs the question, who's funding the deniers? Energy companies are throwing a lot more money around than the government is and their mouthpieces don't have to do any research. They just have to go around throwing doubt on the work of those who do.
