The real question is not if they get "welfare," which is supposed to be a bare minimum level of assistance for people who would otherwise end up on the street or starving, but how much benefit illegal immigrants get from the federal/state and local governments which are paid for primarily from American citizens and legal residents.
The numbers have got to be huge, with an estimated 11 million to 22 million illegals in the US.
