WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump signed a New Year's Eve proclamation delaying increased tariffs on upholstered furniture, kitchen cabinets and vanities for a year, citing ongoing trade talks.

Trump's order signed Wednesday keeps in place a 25% tariff he imposed in September on those goods, but delays for another year a 30% tariff on upholstered furniture and 50% tariff on kitchen cabinets and vanities.

This is how you admit that you screwed up without admitting you screwed up. The cry from repub congress people in swing districts made trump rethink he, ill-advised tariffs on imported furniture. I guess this is his plan to solve the housing crisis? How many Habitat home owners buy Italian furniture?

They simply don't get bargaining and negotiating.

Too used to the United States just taking it up the ass when it comes to fair trade.

Actually Trump kept the tariffs at 25% instead of raising them to 50%.

If 25% is the right level to keep everyone happy, its a very good thing.
