I think they should coordinate such efforts themselves. The fed has proven itself to be wasteful, incompetent, and selective about who they helped based on the political affiliation of those affected. We can eliminate FEMA and, if necessary, donate funds to disaster areas (states) when warranted.

I don't know why it seems so much more clear in this term, but it's screamingly obvious now that he's just going to toss out non-stop, ridiculous threats as some kind of opening salvo for subsequent negotiations. He's so ham-handed about it that it's a little shocking at first, but I think it will become more obvious in time.

It's just sad that he has to scare the shit out of so many American employees, and that he has to put our (former) allies on the edge like this. They're freaking out in Denmark and Canada and Mexico and elsewhere because of this global bully approach, and I don't know how that plays out. I think some of them can see what he's doing, hopefully.
