That's the thing, I am looking at it from the Arab perspective. They brought the whole conflict down on themselves. The Yom Kippur War/Six Day War, the First and Second Intifadas, all of it.

All because they didn't respect the land rights of Arab settlers in the area.

Arab land sales to the Jewish diaspora (the diaspora lasted until 1948, contrary to popular belief that it ended when the Roman Empire collapsed). Arab settlers were discontent with being displaced in favor of Jewish settlers. It wasn't until the 1930s that Jewish militias like the Irgun decided to retaliate against the violence. Jewish settlers were primarily defensive before then.

I taught in Florida for 10 years and Kentucky for two before that, plus another 6 years after that. That was the only place where it was vigorously enforced. It was a blue island in a very red state. I had no other choice than to take that job.
