When an outside entity can "influence" an American election by telling the American electorate the truth...what does that say about how our own main stream media is doing it's job?

From everything I've seen the final report (rushed out just prior to Trump's inauguration but not politically motivated...lol) is underwhelming speculation by an intelligence agency with no hard evidence and certainly nothing indicative of altering the course of the election.

For all you know a deal is made for a week after Trump takes office and the CIA comes out with an addendum that clears Russia and says there's no evidence the outcome was effected.

All this is sour grapes that the Democrats were unable to hack the election with their corrupt shenanigans. and it looks like they'd be willing to drag us into WW3 if they could hack Trump's presidency. Liberals are a far larger threat to our democracy than the Russians.

Just curious what do Trumps critics feel he should do about the Russian hacking? Obama has had sanctions on Russia for various things they don't seem to have had much if any impact on Russia do we want to get into tit for tat cyber attacks? No one will go for direct military action so really what options are there?

Lyndsey Graham and McCain said they are already putting together tougher sanctions to put on Russia including monetary and Energy ones... and they are going to present them to Trump. So it will be up to Trump to either continue being Putin's butt buddy or take action.

It has been my observation that sanctions have no real impact on despots like Putin it looks good and you can say you did something but if Putin would care seems unlikely.

If they were to get countries to freeze Putin's personal bank accounts in countries... that would have a major affect on him.

That's a big if but it would have an impact the one problem I see is I suspect someone who was KGB is very good at knowing how to hide money.

Plus, I'm hard-pressed to think of a country that would be willing to risk the wrath of Russia (nice bit of alliteration there) for us, particularly since we haven't had exactly stellar relations with many of them of late.
