Trump: Coca-cola agrees to use real cane sugar in US drinks

Coke sucks anyway. Pepsi tastes a lot better.

Coke has never been the same after they went with that "Coke II" back around 1980.

The original Coke is still available, that's what I get (when I do occasionally drink the stuff, which I try not to very often.) To me Pepsi tastes flatter and too sweet.

President Trump was on a sugar high Wednesday, announcing that Coca-Cola would soon include the real sweet stuff in its US-sold beverages.

"I have been speaking to Coca-Cola about using REAL Cane Sugar in Coke in the United States, and they have agreed to do so," Trump, 79, revealed on Truth Social.

Coca-Cola uses high fructose corn syrup in its US production, in contrast to cane sugar in countries like Mexico and the United Kingdom.

American coke, willing to do the job of a Mexican coke? ;)

Corn lobby gonna be pissed.

Cane sugar Coke > Nonexistent Epstein Files
Guys, why is there phosphoric acid in Coke?

No shit?

I don't have to spend extra for Mexican Coke anymore?

Life gets better and better, and it's only been six months!
My wife can't do corn, but loves Coke.
Fortunately Krogers stocks the Mexican with real sugar, usually. It costs about three times as much as the fake Coke.

Looking forward to it being "the real thing" with sugar and less expensive.

I hope health nuts don't urge Democrats to impeach him for this. What's next? I can see it now from studies with Democrats' money backing.

Studies has proven that high fructose corn syrup is healthier than natural sugar cane. :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg:

I can get Coke made with cane sugar in the Mexican Super Mercado.

I had occasion to try a number of 2-liter bottles over many weeks, each the sugar-free versions of both Coke and Pepsi I'm pretty sure, and every time I came away with the same comparison:
  • The Coke always had a "watery" quality to it, thinner tasting, and it just took forever for its foam to settle down to anywhere near where the glass was even able to be 75% filled.
  • The Pepsi always had just a bit more of a bitey edge to it and had all the foam and fizz anyone could ever need, yet it settled down enough fast enough to where you could finish filling the glass in a way-shorter period of time.

Does real ingredients cause diabetes?

Yes. very little evidence that cane sugar is any healthier than high-fructose corn syrup in soda.

It's all just a slight variation on fructose/glycose ratio.

Well, it was the sugar-free version. Come on! lol I agree that the sugar-free Coke tastes wateryish. I don't think I've ever tried sugar-free Pepsi.

It's still poison but Im definitely buying
You're ready for 42 grams of sugar in every beverage?

If you were drinking coffee that way, you'd have to fill your spoon from the sugar bowl with every sip.

That's a lot of sugar.

If people think this won't change the flavor, it will.

Have ya'll ever drank Dr Pepper with real cane sugar? OMG its amazing. Also, if you go to Wal Mart, all the Jarritos stuff is real cane sugar. It's a bit more pricey, but the taste is wonderful.

High fructose corn syrup is used because it's cheap. But the flavor just isn't as good. If this is true, this is exciting.

A teaspoon, not a HEAPING teaspoon. A teaspoon, leveled off, is not very much. I've seen people put about that much sugar in their coffee. It's incredible.

Hot tip:

Try Cuzcatlan champagne soda.

It's orange colored, it's usually right next to the Jarritos.

This is 42 grams of sugar.

No its not. That's far more than 10 teaspoons. Don't just google "what does 10 teaspoons of sugar look like" because you get a bunch of crap.

One coke has 36 grams, divided by 4 is 9. So it's 9 teaspoons.
