Well, I for one, can understand how Trump fanboys (and girls) would want this brouhaha to go away. And might encourage some Democrats to forget it and move on.

I get it. I understand their motivation to want to put it in the rearview mirror, however......

.......however, it WAS Trump and his enablers who did it. It was them who violated the regulations and the decorum of the Arlington National Cemetery. And they did it knowingly, willingly, and with some force.
Thus they are the ones looking a bit stinky over this matter.

Trump tried to exploit fallen American soldiers for some perceived partisan gain, it was disgraceful and wrong.

And the reprehensible right attempts to defend the indefensible.

The families, tragedy-struck though they may be, could not abrogate the long-standing protocols of the Arlington National Cemetery.

The importance of those grounds, and those graves, to America and to the thousands of other similarly saddened families supersedes their individual personal wishes.

May their loved ones rest in peace.
