Trump calls for unlimited debt.

Argued to stop what? The "debt ceiling" from being raised?

Never heard mention of the "debt ceiling" during the campaign, I do seem to recall the fiscal portion of the campaign being centered around reducing federal spending, one is not synonymous with the other given the current federal structural deficits.

But hey if President Trump & crew can figure out a way to eliminate future borrowing, I'm all for it, however You and I both know that the existing "debt ceiling" mechanism isn't it.

Coward.

I'm not for abolishing the debt limit; however, if the debt limit is going to simply be extended every so many months anyway, then what's the point of having a so called debt limit?
The debt ceiling is a joke. It is currently set at 32T and we have a $37T debt. SMH. It isn't doing anything. I am all for a balanced budget amendment with specific guidelines in what order budget items are cut. Foreign aid should be #1 in the order. What moron gives charity to someone else when they are going into debt to do it?

LOL, the truth stings, especially when it doesn't feed the narrative you're attempting to fabricate, huh? :)

"When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser." -- Socrates

What narrative would that be? That the argument that the debt needed to get under control was complete B.S.?

Oh contraire, it's just the bread & circuses exercise some plebs require to make them feel okay about the looming default.

A Federal balanced budget amendment would be great, however the probability of that happening is approximately the same as that of the Sun turning into a Gummy Bear.

Face it we're already in default; we're just currently going about it gradually via debt monetization, the suddenly part comes next.

TRUMP Trump TRUMP!

He did this last time also. MAGA argued he didn't but he did.

Seems Musk isn't upset with the budget bill for being loaded in debt but rather for not being loaded in MAGA debt.

Trump Calls For Abolishing Debt Limit: 'Smartest Thing' Congress Could Do

Hitting the debt ceiling brings attention to the antics of the overspending of both parties.

Suspending the ceiling, on the other hand, allows Congress to have unlimited spending with nothing to stop them, and always results in an acceleration of spending.

People forget Trump also had a Republican House and a Republican Senate for half of his first term.

Under Trump, the debt ceiling was raised twice. Both raises were higher than any under Obama.

The debt ceiling was also entirely suspended twice under Trump, meaning no spending limit at all.

The deficit doubled under Trump before Covid.

US budget deficit topped $1 trillion in 2019 for the first time in seven years

You know how I have pointed out many times that our politicians increase spending to artificially increase GDP, since government spending is a major part of GDP?

Donald "I am the King of Debt" Trump promised 4 to 6 percent GDP growth. He never got close.

But look who radically increased government spending as a percentage of GDP, BEFORE Covid, and then crowed about GDP growth:

If people re-hired Trump to get spending under control, then they are the most willfully blind people in American history.

I've been noting for days now how Musk will make sure to get his.

I imagine the Trump years will be known as the "Big Swindle " to future historians.
Musk is just there to virtue signal to conservatives, after being subsequently demonized by the media and chewed up and spat out by the Deep State.

That is all.
