Lots of stuff here behind the tax dodging. Its very clear why he couldnt release his tax figures. If I was Biden I would release my figures prior to the debates.
Friends of Mr Trump could argue that he made charitable contributions in lieu of paying taxes, possibly to the Trump Foundation that was closed down by the "deep state" for fraud.
1. The Washington Post has a 98 page list of all of Trump's donations, including to the Clintons (he used to be a Democrat that sycophants loved to have their picture taken with).
2. Trump doesn't do his own taxes. No wealthy people do. They just sign the documents that their tax preparers prepare. As you are an ignorant Brit, whose business this is none of, I will at least give you a bit of a head's up. If you are a modest income earner, who doesn't live in your own home and don't have dependents, you really can't take advantage of any of the myriad of deductions and loopholes that someone who has a business(s) and homes can. They also have to deal with every scum-sucking government agency, whether city, county, state, or federal, trying to suck as much taxes out of them as they can. The wealthy hire tax experts that know the tax codes inside and out and thus, those experts seek to find every "legal" loophole and deduction that they can for their client to reduce the amount of taxes their client is paying. The operative word here is "LEGAL."
3. When those prepared taxes arrive at the IRS, they scrutinize the returns to ensure ALL claims are LEGAL!
4. If you are a plain homeowner with a wife and kids. You have your deductions (dependents) that you can use, as well as things you can itemize to further reduce the amount of taxes. The rich just have more ways they can deduct.
As a Brit, I think you should be aware that in the Scandinavian nations, they too are "Free-Market Capitalist" nations, with some social programs and that the people taxed the most are the Middle-Income population, not the businesses. The reason is that they don't wand to stifle business enterprise. Yet, here you are, living in another nation and for some reason, you act like you are invested in our dealings here. Focus on your lame nation.
