No, the smarter idea would have been to negotiate a peaceful resolution so that Iran allows inspectors to monitor their program and doesn't enrich to weapons grade.

We've already tried that, and Iran doesn't negotiate in good faith...They've never cooperated in any fashion with inspections or deals...Trump gave them a chance for 60 days, they refused....So, they get what they wanted. and you people are so gullible that you would believe them, over your own country. If you think a bombing run is going to keep Iran from building nukes, I think you're mistaken. If Dmitry Medvedev is to be believed, it's entirely possible that a nuclear-armed ally (gee, wonder who he's referring to here) would be willing to donate some nukes to Iran in response to this. Russia does owe Iran, after all.
