They have a lot in common with the European fascists of the mid twentieth century.I suppose there were always these kinds of Republicans. They didn't listen to, nor understand, conservative thinkers like Goldwater or Buckley, and they sure as hell aren't libertarians. They just want to make the brown people and the trannies go away.
Plus, I think they just get off on "strong man" leadership, even if the strong man is incoherent and unhinged. Hell, they like that even better. Sick, nihilistic and cowardly, but there it is.
He did as a younger adult. He seems to have outgrown a lot of them in his later years. Sometimes it takes people a little longer than the rest of us to do so, and sadly, there are some that never do and end up as geriatric goobers in Congress, yelling and banging on the lectern, shutting down the government until they get their way.

No, on the contrary, ive been a proponent of farmer subsidies. I mean, we need their crops. Of course, if the US didnt import a huge chunk of our food, farmers might not need those subsidies.
Farmers have to take bailouts because we import everything. 35% of our vegetables and 60% of our fruit is imported. Why not let our farmer grow that stuff?
