I am just asking you to explain how you thought simply pointing out the war was costly was going to turn the tables. Trump made promises that he thought it was an easy phone call solution. Seemingly folks like you thought Putin had no idea the war was a "grind" and that a call from Trump was going to wake him up. That seems really naive honestly.

The war ends ONLY one of 3 ways (in my opinion):

1. Russia runs out of money
2. Russia runs out of will
3. Ukraine runs out of support

The plan works as follows: the weapons will go through NATO and NATO will ship the weapons to the Ukraine. NATO will pay for the weapons.

It is a win for the Ukraine and a win for the US.

Sending weapons to help the Ukraine defend itself against Russian aggression is a thousand times more preferable than the US having to send its own troops if Russia attacks a NATO ally.

I seldom praise Trump, but I will on this deal.

It's not a good thing, but it was a necessary thing, after US/Nato intentions to expand their influence up to Russia's border. Let's not forget that Trump himself claimed that America/Biden started the war. And fwiw, still claims that it's Biden's war. We can both agree on that now!
