Its obvious that he will push this agenda.
He is looking into state control of the media, I cant see it as anything else.
I think its the thin end of the wedge and more akin to somethiing Puin would do.

From what I know of the US this would cause some upset. What can he do, in legal terms, to get a better press ?

(serious answers please)
The serious proposals for state control of the media are gonna come from the left in America. Like the 30 something, latina Ocasio-Cortez that''s running as full out socialist know-nothing. She's just BANNED the media from her campaign events.

She has a larger vendetta against the media than Trump. US media has largely become a political Action Committee and should be regulated as such. Because most everything they choose to pound on is a certified CONTRIBUTION to one party or the other.
She banned them from one town hall, and the reason she did that is she was reaching out to people like abused women and immigrants who probably wouldn't show up if the media was there. She said that before the event was even put on, yet you are accusing her of banning all media. She has said that the media is going to be welcome at future events.

But what is he going to do ? If they lie about him he has recourse through the courts. If they are just mean to him then that is just tough shit.

He is calling the Media on his bullshit. He hopes to have the people stop listening to the lies of the media.

Your panic mongering is noted and held against you. Try to be less crazy.
He is trying to stop people reading stuff he doesnt like. How does he plan to do that ?
Really? Is he burning newspapers and jamming television transmissions? How is he doing this?

If your answer is "pointing fingers to FAKE news and biased selection of what they cover" -- He's 100% correct. That IS happening..
Trump says Google, Twitter, and Facebook are on "troubled territory" and "better be careful"

This sounds like a threat to me.

There is nothing that he can really do to them. They are a privately owned business.

Yep. New idea out there, been floated, I'm not sure who came up with it.

But these sites, claim to be non-partisan, just providing platforms for others to use.

But by being selective, and biased, they are verging into "publishing" which has different rules.

Really Trump should not be threatening them. They should be being reviewed by regulators.

Why would he just shake his little fist at them though ? He must have something he can do ?

Doesn't need to. They are destroying themselves. MOST of them are merely toys of Billionaires with a political grudge and they wouldn't even feel a twinge of pain burning their media investments up in an effect to howl about the last election.

CNN lost 30,000 more viewers in the most recent rankings. The fake newspapers are bleeding money.

He does not have to lift a finger. They sealed their own fate.

I have googled "Trump News" this morning and there seem to be a wide variety of sources. There are really only two stories covered on the front page.
Rivers of blood if the Republicans lose the vote in november and Trumps beef with Google.

Trumps own twitter feed is prominent.

Im at a loss to see what they are doing wrong. Both stories involve the ravings of an unhinged idiot lashing out and both stories suggest Presidential wrongdoing. How do the news outlets portray that in a positive light ?

How do you deal with this in an adult way ?

"Little thing: Merry Christmas, right? You couldn't say 'Merry Christmas'," he added, according to US media reports.

One second you are acting like he is on the phone sending in the stormtroopers, and now you are ridiculing him for being powerless.

It is obvious to everyone here, including yourself, that you will say ANYTHING, as long as it lets you smear your enemies, regardless of truth or even any consistency with what you said seconds ago.

You are utterly dishonest and intellectually cowardly.

Sure. Because of "editorial control" at the top.The ones on top determine the stories and the angles.

In your sad decaying freedom adverse former Camelot, you also have the government determine HOW you can cover stories.

Papers tend to have a political standpoint. In the UK it is generally right wing through Murdochs papers and the Daily Mail. They print the most outrageous shit so I do understand media bias. But there is no use whining about it.
You can set up alternative voices and also sue them when you can prove they are lying.
Remember trump isnt in a position to sue, he just doesnt like their standpoint.
I dont recognise your last comment, it sounds a bit fox to me.
