Trump will take advantage of the opening Schumer seems about to give him. He has plans in place already, that assume a shutdown will happen.

Schumer has no announced plan past defunding the country in about 40 hours from the time of this posting. He assumes Trump will crack under pressure and ask congressional repubs to "give Schumer what he wants, and hurry!"

It seems Trump will be too busy to do that for a while, managing the mass firings and reassuring the American people that Schumer will not destroy the nation.

We don't control the Democrats within those three branches, nor are we the ones saying a shutdown is “necessary” to “send a message” to President Trump.
