They'll do a good job of taking a cowboy soap opera and making it gritty and real.

I like John Wayne, but you have to admit he was formulaic and overshadowed the storylines of the movies he was in.

It's a good story, and I always appreciate someone who can depict the west as it was (i.e. Larry McMurty).

Very good story. Needs a really big ham to fill the role though. Jeff Bridges isn't a big enough ham.
