No, Gowdy was an extremely poor Congressman, but even he recognizes (due to his impending retirement) that the informant was legal. Nobody on the left is haling this guy as some sort of hero, just pointing out the hypocrisy of those Republicans who have to face a primary election.

The question is not whether it was illegal or not, the question is if we want this kind of thing in our elections?

So the precedent has now been set. If Trump plants spies into his opponents campaign in 2020, we can all agree that it's okay. In fact, let's do this every election.

And while we're at it, let's allow our candidates to use opposition research they paid for to obtain surveillance warrants on political opponents as well. Much like the Russia thing, just make it up as we go along.

Yes, this is what our political system needs.

If Trump is planting spies; something is wrong. Because the President doesn't make that decision...the FBI director does based on various criteria.

It all started here and it has been confirmed during a Senate Intelligence committee hearing under direct testimony by James Clapper. Now why Trey Gowdy didn't know about this last May 2017 when it happened, and decided to run with conspiracy theories up until now is unknown.

Basically the FBI was getting information in since 2015, so of course they're going to infiltrate the Trump campaign. Comey didn't get off his ass until late July 2016 to start his own investigation.

Which is why Shep Smith knew in Feb. 2017, that Trump surrogates were on the phone with Russian intelligence agents, including the very day that Russians hacked into DNC databases.


Which is why Trump Jr. could pull off a secret Russian meeting in the Trump tower in June 2016. They were being watched by several different foreign intelligence sources, and that information was being passed onto the FBI.


Trump was never the target until he fired James Comey. Now he is under investigation for Obstruction of Justice and it didn't help that he got on National T.V. and admitted to it.


The Russia investigation never had anything to do with the Dossier File, that wasn't given to John McCain and then hand delivered to James Comey around late December 2016 early January 2017, months after the FBI investigation started.. At that point they already knew something was going on by the intelligence coming in since 2015.

Trey Gowdy has promoted every single conpiracy that came down the pipeline. Even wanting an investigation into Uranium One, to protect Trump and deflect away from the Russian investigation, while desperately trying to undermine Mueller's investigation, along with his credibility.

The DNC doesn't. They didn't even let the FBI look into their supposedly hacked server. They hired a private firm that they paid for, and then "told" us of their opinion.

That precedent has been sent.
