In a less civilized age, the parents of this 5th-grade girl would have beaten the crap out of the school officials.​

Is an age in which a pervert can expect to get the shit beat out of him for pulling this sort of shit really “less civilized” than an age in which the pervert can do so without any such risk?

Also of concern, here, is that this story involves a pre-adolescent boy, who is being intentionally brainwashed and deceived into believing that he is a girl. His parents are apparently either directly responsible for this, or at least willfully complicit in it. This, in itself, is seriously abusive—those responsible for it need to be held accountable, and this boy needs to be protected from this abuse.
