And they expect to feed, clothe and house a family of four with the job of making fries at McDonalds.True. It’s a job 16-year-olds used to have. Now it’s a job for people who barely speak English.
That was Tom Daschle, who said that if George Bush 43 wouldnt pass the free prescription drug act, that Tom's mother would have to choose between eating cat food or buy her drugs. No one asked Tom, how he was speaker of the house would allow his mother to eat cat food.Just think: I've heard stories of the elderly being made so poor that they had to eat cat food to get by on and no one minded, but these same people think they can justify banning them from being able to buy a tasty sweetened drink or to have a simple tasty desert like a mere candy bar, then scratch their heads wondering who could possibly object!
Nothing but kale and watercress for the sick, poor and old!![]()
Republicans love the low wage workers.Biden and the Dems have tried hard, with 10+ million illegals in 4-years. Now they cry prices will rise with deportations.

If it was so much cheaper the south would have been the wealthiest region in the country. That it was the poorest doesn't say much for slavery being an engine driving the economy. But it's much cheaper.
It costs about $42,000 a year to cloth, feed, house and maintain the health of one person in today's economy. And that's the low end. The high end is $60,000. You sure it's cheaper?...lolBut it's much cheaper.
Agreed. Nobody should apply for jobs at mcdonalds...let the franchise throw up their hands and cry they cant find workers. And they expect to feed, clothe and house a family of four with the job of making fries at McDonalds.
It’s all that inbreeding that goes on down there that creates imbeciles and keeps things poor.If it was so much cheaper the south would have been the wealthiest region in the country. That it was the poorest doesn't say much for slavery being an engine driving the economy.
I agree that a really high minimum wage for something that doesn't require a lot of skills or experience doesn't make sense, but we also have to contend with the fact that people need to make enough money so they can live. Maybe not pay the high-schooler $50/hour, but maybe something like $15/hour, based on where he lives? If the rent where he lives is like $800/month and he has to pay for gas, insurance, and other stuff, how is he going to survive on $7.5/hour?Oh right…..how dare a business owner not want to pay the high school graduate scooping chicken out of the bowl at Panda Express $50 an hour!
Let me guess…..you’re a Democrat with no economic sense whatsoever.
It’s actually more like $16 or $17 an hour where I live, PLUS they ask for tips. That’s pretty decent for something that requires no skills or lengthy training.I agree that a really high minimum wage for something that doesn't require a lot of skills or experience doesn't make sense, but we also have to contend with the fact that people need to make enough money so they can live. The numbers I gave are just for illustration purposes. My point is that people need to be making enough money to survive on, which makes a living wage an important issue. Unfortunately, a living wage is also very contentious. It’s actually more like $16 or $17 an hour where I live, PLUS they ask for tips. I don’t know where they’re still paying $7.50 an hour, but maybe it’s out in rural areas where you can rent a 2-bedroom for $900, and split the cost with a roommate. That would be doable.
Dig it! I'll go back to work for 1000 an hour. lolI'll see your fifty and raise you fifty, that's a hundred to you.
Go big I always say. Why stop there?
Let's just make it an even thousand an hour ...
