OK, at the risk of derailing the thread, let me explain something to you about how elections work and the wisdom of our Founding Fathers and why the system was set up the way it is. Most people live concentrated in a few states, mainly along coastlines. The FFs realized that if just the popular vote were taken into account, the other states would always suffer their unique interests slaughtered at the will of the more populated ones.
So the Founding Fathers were afraid that the coasts would have too much power even though at the time the Constitution was written, Spain owned the West Coast and the East coast is where nearly everyone lived. (Hello... all of the 13 colonies were "on the coast".
so let's be blunt, the EC was one of the many compromises
the Founding Slave rapists made to keep the slave states happy, and it didn't work because we STILL had a civil war 80 year later.
This is why ALL 50 states have EQUAL power in the Senate.
But that's the problem. They shouldn't. No other country would do it that way, and no other country does. Wyoming just isn't that important. Wyoming could be wiped off the map and we wouldn't miss it.
