While tourist numbers to Russia from Europe and North America fell, there was a 13 percent rise in the number of Indian tourists that visited the country in the first quarter of 2014.

Never been myself, but two of my cousins have, and they had nothing bad to say about their visits. Very positive, in fact. Although if I ever visited I'd probably stick to west of the Urals.
