does anybody think this is fair? We could tax all that Wealth away and it would be enough to run the federal government for six months. Of course much of the wealth is in The form of company stock like Elon musk's Tesla, Jeff basos Amazon, and brinns Google. They could simply sell their stock and hope the new owners would keep them on as management. Does anyone think this would be a good deal for America ?
The level of Liberal wealth envy is breath-taking.
The OP does not state how these families got their wealth...but he almost 'criminalizes' it.
The OP suggests that just because they HAVE money that others (liberals) do not have these families should be unfairly targeted, for their wealth to be seized by the federal govt because the wealth is not equally distributed among the masses.
The OP does not suggest there is a certain 'financial worth' that should be targeted, except for these families.
- Although they do not have as much as these families (not listed in the non-link supporting the thread), the argument can be made that Harry Reid's, Nancy Pelosi's, Barak Obama's, Hillary and bill Clinton's, George Bush's, George Soros', and others' fortunes should be seized and re-distributed to the masses for no other reason than THEY HAVE IT.
Seizing anyone's fortune or telling them what they have to do with their money, stocks, lives, etc is never what is good for America.
The idea of the forced redistribution of someone's wealth is never good for American, especially when the person doing the 'forcing' is a multi-millionaire liberal who has acquired their own fortune through questionable means, fights to and justified keeping it while justifying seizing someone else's fortune and re-distributing IT.
It is unfair to target people with more money with extremely higher taxes simply because they HAVE more money, especially when allowing almost 50% of the country to not pay a dime while having 'everything' they receive paid for by the very people they are demonizing.
Anyway, that's about 1/2 of my 2 cents' worth on this issue.
