Tofu

to·fu ˈtō-(ˌ)fü : a soft food product prepared by treating soybean milk with coagulants (such as magnesium chloride or diluted acids) : bean curd. … tofu is our most versatile form of nonanimal concentrated protein, as well as the least processed and the most traditional.

The literal Japanese translation is of Tofu is “thick fermenting soybean milk”.

Any other definition should be treated as Hyperbole. Any questions reach out.

Tofu is a good source of protein. It's a complete protein, meaning it contains all nine essential amino acids that the body needs. Tofu is also a versatile and relatively inexpensive source of plant-based protein, making it a popular choice for vegetarians and vegans.
My personal spongy tofu. Freezing tofu alters its texture, making it firmer, chewier, and more absorbent of marinades and sauces. This is due to the expansion of water as it freezes, creating air pockets that remain after thawing. This transformation can be beneficial for dishes where you want a meatier texture or crispy exterior.
:icon_rolleyes: Nice marketing garbage. They've brainwashed you well.

Soy is not food. It is fodder.

Tofu is not fermented, it is curdled GMO soybeans. The literal translation is "bean curd".

Tofu contains phytic acid, which inhibits your body's ability to absorb essential minerals such as calcium, magnesium and iron.

Tofu also contains trypsin inhibiters. Those proteins bind to trypsin, thus inhibiting your ability to absorb proteins.

Tofu also contains endocrine disruptors that can cause all kinds of hormone imbalances.

Tofu also contains a lot of inflammatory polyunsaturated fats that can create a cascade of free radicals that overwhelm your body's antioxidant system.

You can spout off about the proteins in tofu having all 9 essential amino acids all you want, but since tofu also contains other proteins that prevent them from being broken down by enzymes and absorbed by your small intestine, it moves on to your colon where that protein is consumed by bacteria that give off a lot of gas with sulfurous compounds.

Boring. Mostly tasteless. Need to hide it with complicated mixed ingredients.

Cheaper than porterhouse but more boring than even white rice.

I think I'd rather take free-form amino acid supplements.
Or have a breaded and fried rabbit sammich cooked in bacon grease.
