Today is our 50th wedding anniversary

my wife didn't want a cruise or a trip to Hawaii because of covid restrictions and hassles. So we bought one of these instead.
but I never get to drive it. LOL

50 Years, wow congratulations, that is very impressive. May you have many more!

I got married in '73, so I'm a few years behind. Most of my HS friends and relatives are also in long-term marriages.

One of the biggest frauds in American culture is the myth that [romantic] love is necessary for a successful marriage. It's nice, but it comes and goes. If you expect to hear bells and whistles every time you are near your beloved, in a lifetime relationship, you are destined for disappointment. And divorce, of course.
