It's a day, like many others, where we acknowledge what happened and vow to never let it happen again. The Holocaust was one of the most terrible things in the past and we shouldn't forget. We shouldn't forget 9/11 or any other day when innocents were slaughtered for no good reason.

Usually, these things bring people together as Americans and decent people.

Of course, 9/11 is now just a community service day (a positive) and many Muslims are trying to get any mention of the Holocaust out of the history books since they refuse to acknowledge that it even happened.

History is what it is. Good and bad. Remembering it and learning from it is the only way to keep the bad from happening again.
