Jackie Robinson Day and What Really Could have Been Done?

No. Maybe you don't know what reparations are.....a real life black person would....
Do you know what it is because in your post you were too pussy to provide any sort of definition yourself or why it doesn't apply to segregation.

In case you weren't aware reparations are an attempt at righting some wrong or injustice, which begs the question, do you not think segregation wrongly and purposely denied and resisted black economic opportunity and advancement?

defination myself? I am not in the business of redefining words.

Of course it was a wrong, and it still is a wrong....it hasn't gone away. You act like cities, like Boston, aren't deeply segragated still today.

How about just expressing an understanding of the definition one time? :dunno:

You don't think financial compensation (reparations) for the economic wrong of segregation might alleviate some of that?

The white man’s lie is that you are owed something…keep sitting around waiting on your master Joe to give you something

Pathetic
The white mans lie is that we aren't.

I do, I provided a link for you.

Assign a value to the economic wrongs of segregations......and from who? I fully support the the afrcian-american community, of say Detriot, bringing a lawsuit against the city......https://cityobservatory.org/most_segregated2020/

How do you bring a lawsuit against an injustice that was legal at the time? That's why you need a policy to address those injustices through reparations.

well, keep sitting around waiting on whatever it is you think you are owed.

the white man wants you to play the victim.
You just admitted black people who suffered through segregation are owed. Advocating for what you're owed isn't = to sitting around and waiting for it.

No i don['t think it was ok. But you weren't slaves. To compare Jim Crow to slavery, is an insult. I certianly agree the Demaklan party owes every black person a massive apology for those laws and practices.....instead folks like yourself, keep voting for them
You are really stupid. Are you sure you aren't doing internet blackface? Because whites using internet blackface pretend to be back women and they argue anti back arguments just ike you are. Jim Crow can be compared to slavery and blacks who lived in the middle of it have said so. My parents did. My grandparents did. Republicans were complicit in the problem.

And if you are actually black, you're an idiot for being part of a party that is openly white supremacist. And since reparations are not just about slavery, read this and start thinking, if you are actually black that is:

Citygroup did a study focusing on U.S. GDP from 2000 until 2020. The study revealed huge losses in GDP due to continuing discrimination against blacks in business revenue, education, housing credit, and income. The study determined that since the year 2000, continuing discriminatory practices in the four areas mentioned in the prior sentence resulted in a loss of 16 trillion dollars in GDP.25 The breakdown is as follows:

“Closing the Black racial wage gap 20 years ago might have provided an additional $2.7 trillion in income available for consumption and investment.

Improving access to housing credit might have added an additional 770,000 Black homeowners over the last 20 years, with combined sales and expenditures adding another $218 billion to GDP over that time.

Facilitating increased access to higher education (college, graduate, and vocational schools) for Black students might have bolstered lifetime incomes that in aggregate sums to $90 to $113 billion.

Providing fair and equitable lending to Black entrepreneurs might have resulted in the creation of an additional $13 trillion in business revenue over the last 20 years. This could have been used for investments in labor, technology, capital equipment, and structures and 6.1 million jobs might have been created per year.”

For years I have listened to the “I’m not responsible” or “I didn’t own anybody” and “I was not alive then” excuses coming from uninformed idiots like yourself. Citigroup determined money lost due to racial discrimination against blacks since 2000. At a minimum, reparations can be requested for money lost from 2000 until right now. If we only take lost income from racism starting in 2000, it equals more than $57,569 per black person in America based on the 2020 U.S. Census. Including all losses due to racial discrimination equals more than $277,185 per black person in America. This is money owed NOW for things done in OUR LIFETIMES.

Keep repeating the dumb ass lines the white man tells you. Because nobody is sitting and waiting for shit but you.

Read this again, then understand what is going on.

“If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle. Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will.” -Frederick Douglass

The damage was just as bad, do you realize what was done to black folks during Jim Crow?

An apology? This describes you to the T.

I tried to tell her and Humungus, I came up at the backend of Jim Crow. They are so blinded by trying to please white folks, they will hate themselves to try and be accepted by white folks. Bowing down to white men is all Struth and Humungus knows.

They were, and got it righted by showing that it was illegal. They were right they were born free
