Probably the better and more logical way to increase the pay of workers is to construct unions and demand a larger piece of the pie for the workers.

if the economy really kicks in, you know that McDonalds/Burger King will really be desperate, to the extent where counter people/drive thru people can be as rude as they want to. so we may have to get used to approaching the counter, and some girl says,,,"Welcome To McDonalds *****!, youve got 10 seconds to order *****! if you know what the hell you want, just git the &^%$@!)(* outa my store so I can wait on the next hoe in line !!!!"

Nobody is being exploited. It's not like government comes along and tells you what job you must work at. The choice is purely yours.

If you buy a used car for your son, and you paid 12K for it even though you think it's only worth 10, were you exploited? You decided to buy that car and decided to pay that price. You had many other options, but you chose that car.

They are being exploited to the degree that the taxpayer has to come in and subsidize substandard wages

Which means we should have strict limits on social programs. They should only be given to those who have absolutely no way of supporting themselves. Currently, our government rewards people who don't try, so they stay on the programs as long as possible.

The reason people don't try to better themselves is because of these programs. The solution? Get rid of the programs and let people figure out how to make ends meet themselves.

Even McDonald's acknowledges that their business was intended for children.
Holding businesses that are created with the employment of kids & college students responsible for the poor choices people make in life is wrong. If you're in your mid to late 20's or higher & working for minimum wage you have no one to blame but yourself. You're poor choices should not result in a 10.00 Big Mac or 4 dollar fry.

So you can't cut anything from payroll taxes because those programs are already going broke.

Irrelevant the point is giving perks to the rich even now is just ridiculous. The rich are incredibly bloated after 30 years of Pander to the rich reaganism and the middle class is overtime taxed and now almost ruined percentage-wise gets worse and worse and worse and the GOP keeps cutting taxes on them. I am a "let the market dictate the pay" sort of guy. I hate the artificial minimum wage.

I was born at the tail end of the baby boom, but never had anything handed to me. Out of high school I went to college and drank my way to flunking out after 3 semesters. From there I delivered produce for a wholesale produce company. Left there to be a grinder at a company making fire engines. While there I became friends with the welders whose welds I was grinder and they taught me to weld and I became the only non-school trained welder on the line. Then at the ripe old age of 24 I wanted more and joined the Marines. Spent 20 years with them and worked my way up to Gunnery Sergeant.

Got out of the Corps and used the GI bill I paid for to finish my bachelors and get a Masters and two data certifications. While at my current position I used my time and money to get my PMP certification to make myself more marketable.

While I was finishing my Masters my wife also went back to school and is now an RN on critical care floor working 13 hour shifts.

So, nope I have had nothing handed to me, I worked my ass off for everything that I have.
