Not a tax lawyer but I can tell you unless Hunter set it up and receives the money directly, the answer is pretty much always going to be a no. It is considered a gift. The donor may be subject to gift taxes if his gift exceeds the annual exclusion amount and he has used up his lifetime/at death $12M gift tax exemption.
