Jews are the scapegoat that demagogues use to incite a population in a common cause, and since all the antisemitic canards are so formulaic and oriented in creating illusions of Jewish power and control, it acts like a drug to those with an overpowering sense of failure in life. Add in the fact that Jew hatred is now promoted as VIRTUOUS, the groundswell has turned into a tidal wave.
