Tim Walz Swiftboated, Stolen Valor. Falsely Was in "War" When He Actually Abandoned His Men When They Shipped to Iraq

Walz also endorsed a book, titled “Winning Your Election the Wellstone Way.” The book falsely described Walz as a “National Guardsman who served in Afghanistan.”

Did the book really claim that? Did Walz not bother to read the passage in the book that claimed he served in Afghanistan??

I do indeed understand. He signed an agreement that they would frock him to Sgt Maj, and he'd complete his training. Well, he broke that promise. That in itself was disgraceful. Then he says on his web site he retired at that rank, is a lie. He was never officially a Sgt Maj, which is why they took it from him.
nobody says "frock" in the military, bud.

(I've only heard that term used in relation to the clergy) ..

Even though he was a Master Sergeant, he served as the Command Sergeant Major of the Battalion.

"quickly as humanly possible." is about 6 to 14 months. That is how long it takes for retirement paperwork to be complete and all the hoops one must jump thorough to be completed.

When I retired from the Marine Corps I was told to drop my papers 14 months before I wanted to get out to make sure there was enough time for it all to take place.
That is active duty. Reserves/NG are a whole different matter. Once your initial contract is up you can quit at any time. When I left the reserves to go back on active duty, the recruiter got a verbal okay over the phone with me sitting in his office. The official paperwork took about a month because we had to wait for a drill weekend to have the unit commander sign the paperwork.

I’ve heard the term used by naval officers.

We used the term in the Marines.

Um, not exactly.

We saw guys quit the National Guard all the time, usually by not showing up at drills. If you missed three drill weekends, you were dismissed as an unsatisfactory participant and regulated to the IRR. (Individual Ready Reserve) We also had one kid who asked to be placed in the IRR because of his school commitments.

Now, here's the ironic thing. When the Gulf War broke out, they didn't send our unit, but they did activate all the chumps we threw out because they needed to fill out active duty units. (They also transferred one or two guys we had with exotic MOS to fill out units they were sending.)

Obviously, there were different rules for Officers and higher-ranking non-coms.

We are talking about the Army Guard, so it really doesn't apply. I never heard this term used in 11 years of Guard and Active Duty.

The end of service behavior by Walz was legal, moral, and by the UCMJ.

All of MAGA yammering has not changed one vote to their side.

a command sgt major can easily be replaced in most cases. his job is more admin and discipline than as a functioning team member. i did think he went to iraq, so i'll have to dig again.

i am a veteran, and reading about politicians claiming quals like this makes my nostrils flare.
If Stolen Valor states he didn't deploy you can take it to the bank those guys take that shit seriously.

No, he did not. Now you are lying weird one.

It's Trump himself and people like you that is causing MAGA to lose traction.
Walz said he carried a weapon during war. That's a lie. He was never in a combat zone.

The only people we lose traction with are idiot Leftists like you that are steadily fed a diet of lies and then ask for more.

MAGA is slip slidin' away

because

now knows they are WEIRD losers

He said he carried those weapons in war and he lied.
He said:
"...that I carried in war are only carried in war..."

That I carried in war.... In war. Not an overseas deployment. War
... are only carried in war. In war. Not an overseas deployment. War. And only in war.

The plain meaning of the statement is he carried the weapons of war he wants to ban while -he- was at war.

He carried them, when deployed to operation enduring freedom-(the Afghan War and war on terror), for 8 months, while headquartered in Italy.
