No? So, what legitimate consequences are in place if the Senate does not follow Trump's, "Instructions?"
To 'instruct someone' implies that the instructor has the power to enforce it.
I don't need my memory, there's a search function here. When Biden limited the dissemination of the FBI reports on his nominees, you did not call him out for interference with the legislature.
Your opinion is only... your opinion.

You want to regather your thoughts and try that again?Trump cannot enforce to do that which he has no power to prevent.
Dude - your own link - it's precedent that the incoming administration limits dissemination of the FBI reports on it's nominees. For obvious reason. He never did, and you can't disprove it.
Not to those (Senators) who are investigating whether the nominees are eligible and worthy.Dude - your own link - it's precedent that the incoming administration limits dissemination of the FBI reports on it's nominees. For obvious reason.
Yes, precedent is that only Chair of the committee and the minority ranking member are briefed on the FBI investigation. Not to those (Senators) who are investigating whether the nominees are eligible and worthy.
Trump is a quick learner. He knows the mistakes of his first term. He had 4 years to study and set his course. in hindsight if Progs did not play the election system in 2020, you would be done with him now with the flaws of his first administration affecting the second. We need to clean up the excesses. We are a rich nation. We also need to be smarter on how we spend our dollars. This is not something new. There are adherents who have wanted this for many decades. Not to those (Senators) who are investigating whether the nominees are eligible and worthy.
Did Trump say “I instruct you to . . . ?”Instructing is far more than influencing.
Democrats have instructed the House, the Senate, and the Supreme Court what to do for a very long time. This is unacceptable executive interference in matters legislative.
Thune needs to back Trump down and tell him he must never instruct the Senate on how to act.
Donald Trump’s transition team is insisting that the FBI’s background check on Pete Hegseth, his nominee for Defense Secretary, is not shared more widely. Trump’s team insist that those documents are not made available to rank-and-file senators, following a precedent which they say was set by Biden’s transition after the last election. So far, only senior members of the Senate Armed Services, including chair Roger Wicker and ranking member Jack Reed have been briefed on the FBI’s report about Hegseth, along with some members of the Trump transition team. Senate Democrats and Minority Leader Chuck Schumer argue that the

Yuh got me, pardner. I think it is bad precedent for both parties. https://www.axios.com/2025/01/14/trump-hegseth-confirmation-fbi-background-checkYes, precedent is that only Chair of the committee and the minority ranking member are briefed on the FBI investigation.

I disagree, it's not bad precedent. These investigations turn up lots of embarrassing stuff that have no bearing on a nominee's ability to do the job, but could be used for partisan purposes simply to publicly embarrass the nominee.Yuh got me, pardner. - Democrats admit the precedent is on the GOP's side. But they say the nature of Hegseth's nomination — including allegations of sexual misconduct that he's denied — at least deserves a conversation.
what are they hiding? Why not write him and explain how he needs to listen to you.
