Payroll taxes go for the things you use everyday like your streets, street lights, sewers, police, the state that plows the snow off the highways and maintain the roads. You get all your federal deductions back and more if you live the average lifespan in the US or a little less. They're hardly taxes at all since you get services, retirement, and even medical coverage for as long as you live. They are more like savings accounts.

Income taxes which nearly half of our population doesn't pay goes to our military, federal parks and forests, support our huge federal government, the politicians, the federal courts, the bureaucracies and federal prisons. They go to our FBI and CIA, and all the protections services of the President and various members of Congress. They go to domestic and foreign aid. They go to support our food stamp program and the other 80 some federal welfare programs we have. Nearly half the country pays nothing--not one red cent to any of those things. All the wealthy people support all that.

Taxes are not taxes. Let me ask: if you make your car payments, does your credit card company not care if you pay them because you were paying off one of your debts? Of course not. One has nothing to do with the other.

The fact of the matter is our entire federal government, it's agencies, it's bureaucracies, it's land and management, and all the welfare programs and federal government services are paid for by a little over half the country; those entities are mostly funded by the rich, which the top 20% of wage earners fund 87% of.

I think what you should do is go to the US Communist Party website and read their platform. You will find very few differences between theirs and the Democrat party. Take note of who they strongly supported and who they were strongly against.
