BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Washington has made preparations to withdraw diplomats from Iraq after warning Baghdad it could shut its embassy, two Iraqi officials and two Western diplomats said, a step Iraqis fear could turn their country into a battle zone.

Any move by the United States to reduce its diplomatic presence in a country where it has up to 5,000 troops would be widely seen in the region as an escalation of its confrontation with Iran, which Washington blames for missile and bomb attacks.

That in turn would open the possibility of military action, with just weeks to go before an election in which President Donald Trump has campaigned on a hard line towards Tehran and its proxies.

No if, and or buts. Just shut down the embassy. Iraq wants the US out so leave. They can figure out how to deal with their border.

We should close down about two thirds of our embassies; most of the world's countries are run by criminals and psychos, so what is the point of them? Many Americans are stupid and naive and if they want to visit corrupt shitholes then they deserve to end up rotting in some smelly prison while being extorted. They can visit stinking plenty of stinking shitholes here in the U.S. if they want 'Diversity' and 'Reality' experiences with violent dumbass savage foreigners who don't speak English.

" Former Persians Humiliated Disgraced Farcical Farsi Still Pandering To Pretentious Supremacy For Arab Cultural Hegemony "

* US Regional Involvement By Proxy To Stabilize Sectarian Lofted Assholes *

One of the Western diplomats said the U.S. administration did not “want to be limited in their options” to weaken Iran or pro-Iranian militias in Iraq.

The Pentagon said on Monday it was committed to supporting Iraq’s long-term “security, stability, and prosperity” and U.S. military operations against Islamic State continued.

In a region polarised between allies of Iran and the United States, Iraq is the rare exception: a country that has close ties with both. But that has left it open to a perennial risk of becoming a battleground in a proxy war.

Publicly, the powerful Iran-backed Shi’ite militia groups which control large factions in parliament have tried to distance themselves from attacks on Western targets.

* Pathetic Non Arab Persians Forced To Pander To The Genetic Religion Of Qurayshism That Does Not Apply To Them Even To This Day *

In Shia Islam, the Imamah (Arabic: إمامة‎) is a doctrine which asserts that certain individuals from the lineage of the Islamic prophet Muhammad are to be accepted as leaders and guides of the ummah after the death of Muhammad. Imamah further says that Imams possess divine knowledge and authority (Ismah) as well as being part of the Ahl al-Bayt, the family of Muhammad.[1] These Imams have the role of providing commentary and interpretation of the Quran[2] as well as guidance.

According to Twelvers, there is always an Imam of the era, who is the divinely appointed authority on all matters of faith and law in the Muslim community. Ali was the first of the Twelve Imams, and, in the Twelvers and Sufis' view, the rightful successor to Muhammad, followed by male descendants of Muhammad through his daughter Fatimah. Each Imam was the son of the previous Imam, with the exception of Husayn ibn Ali, who was the brother of Hasan ibn Ali. The twelfth and final Imam is Muhammad al-Mahdi, who is believed by the Twelvers to be currently alive, and hidden in the Major Occultation until he returns to bring justice to the world.

" Send Imams Back To Their Arab Dog Masters And Light The Zoroastrian Fire Temples "

Today Islam is the religion of 99.6% of Iranians of which approximately 89% are Shia – almost all of whom are Twelvers.[106] The Shia groups have distinctions between Fiver, Sevener and Twelver, derived from their belief in how many divinely ordained leaders there were who are descendants of the Islamic prophet Muhammad through his daughter Fatimah and his son-in-law Ali.

The Umayyad state is remembered as an Arab-centric state, being run by and for the benefit of those who were ethnically Arab though Muslim in creed.[13][32] The non-Arab Muslims resented their marginal social position and were easily drawn into Abbasid opposition to Umayyad rule.[15][16][28]

Although converts to Islam made up roughly 10% of the native population – most of the people living under Umayyad rule were not Muslim – this percent was significant due to the very small number of Arabs.[13] Gradually, the non-Arab Muslims outnumbered the Arab Muslims, causing alarm among the Arab nobility.[32] Socially, this posed a problem as the Umayyads viewed Islam as the property of the aristocratic Arab families.[38][39]

The early Muslim conquest of Persia was coupled with an anti-Iranian Arabization policy which led to much discontent.

Persecution of Zoroastrians was part of state policy during the Umayyad era. Al-Hajjaj allegedly killed all Zoroastrian clergy upon the conquest of east Iranian lands, burning all Zoroastrian literature and destroying most religious buildings.[46] The non-Muslim aristocracy around Merv supported the Abbasids, and thus retained their status as a privileged governing class regardless of religious belief.[15]

* Genetic Religion Of Qurayshism *

Surah 8:75 And those who believed after [the initial emigration] and emigrated and fought with you - they are of you. But those of [blood] relationship are more entitled [to inheritance] in the decree of God.422 Indeed, God is Knowing of all things.

* Percentage Break Down Of Different Fictional Ishmaelism Outfits *

The present demographic breakdown between the two denominations is difficult to assess and varies by source, but a good approximation is that 85% of the world's Muslims are Sunni and 15% are Shia Muslims, with most Shias belonging to the Twelver tradition and the rest divided between many other groups.[2] Sunnis are a majority in most Muslim communities: in Southeast Asia, China, South Asia, Africa, and a part of the Arab world. Shia make up the majority of the citizen population in Iraq, Bahrain, Iran, and Azerbaijan, as well as being a politically significant minority in Pakistan, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen and Kuwait.[13]

⁜→ et al,

BLUF: This entire situation is pathetic. And the Careerists in the State Department as well as those in the National Security Council were at fault.

National Strategy for Victory in Iraq (NSVI)(2005) by the National Security Council

(COMMENT • One Man's OPINION)

When we judge our next steps, we should look back at where we've been and what our expectations were by our brightest minds.

National Security Council said:
Ask yourself, what stage are we in today?

I was in Iraq in 2005 and left in 2009. I was there when the great minds in the Presidential Palace provided input to this NSVI. And many of us on the ground floor of the North Wing understood how wrong we were but were powerless to stop it.

America needs to be a bit more careful than it has in the past. Our strategies in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Yemen were not successes (any more than Vietnam was). If we withdraw, we should really consider never going back. The people of those countries are NOT our allies.
