Thoughts When Ambassador Yovanovitch Testified

This is what I took away from the Hearings yesterday:

Marie Yovanovitch, the former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, admitted to lawmakers that President Donald Trump did not engage in any kind of criminal activity related to Ukraine.

“Do you have any information regarding the President of the United States accepting any bribes?” Republican Congressman Chris Stewart of Utah asked point blank.

“No,” Yovanovitch said.

“Do you have any information regarding any criminal activity that the President of the United States has been involved with at all?”

“No.”
Another Democratic Star Witness Admits Trump Committed No Crime

Case closed, stick it with a fork because it's done.

Nope. She said she didn't know of any. She is in no position to "admit" anything of the sort. Next.
So your admitting the only reason she was there was to cry that she got canned. Got it

I'm not admitting anything, weirdo. You don't know the meaning of that word.

She was there to attest to the back channel that our corrupt president used to oust her and get his yes men into the position of dealing with Ukraine.

Idiot.

She couldn't attest to anything more than she got canned. That she can attest to.
Like everything else with this witch hunt...it's all about assumptions, and you fall for it. :auiqs.jpg:

Of course you can be arrested for offering a bribe if it isn't accepted.
If you get stopped by a cop and put a folded $500 bill under your drivers license when you hand it to him, he's either going to pocket the money and tell you to have a nice day, or arrest your ass.
You know what he did and you can play around with this like it's some kinda "game," but I'm done giving this bastard the benefit of the doubt. He needs to be fired.
But that is nothing like what is claimed to have happened here.

Trump released the funds way before the Ukrainian President gave any information or even understood that anything was being sought.

He just enforced the law and provided us with assistance.

You dont have to bribe honest cops to do that normally except in Blue states apparently.

The problem was not bureaucratic, the Ukrainians were told. To address it, they were advised, they should reach out to Mick Mulvaney, the acting White House chief of staff, according to the interviews and records.

The timing of the communications, which have not previously been reported, shows that Ukraine was aware the White House was holding up the funds weeks earlier than acknowledged.

It also means that the Ukrainian government was aware of the freeze during most of the period in August when Mr. Trump’s personal lawyer Rudolph W. Giuliani and two American diplomats were pressing President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine to make a public commitment to the investigations.

So you are calling President Zelensky a liar?

Apparently his officials are saying that he was aware much sooner.
I wouldn't blame the guy for saying what Trump wants to hear. He got his aid this year because Trump got caught, but there is next year, isn't there, if Trump isn't impeached?
I'd definitely continue kissing Trump's ass as much as I could. He can always say he "forgot" or something, if he gets caught red handed.

Nope. She spoke of what she knew. As did Taylot and Kent. Your hero is dirty. Always has been dirty. You fell for his line of BS and you still do. You're fucking diseased.

It was no back channel. Just a different channel.
Don't you have a TV?

(1) All ambassadors serve at the pleasure of the President. He did not need an "excuse" to remove her.

(2) She was not "fired." This is government-speak. She is not on the unemployment line. She was reassigned, with no change to her compensation or benefits, and she can remain in some sinecure as long as she likes, and when she leaves it, we will be on the hook to keep her up until she dies. Not fired.

(3) The U.S. diplomatic community has this delusion that the President is supposed to conform to their pre-conceived notions of what is appropriate, necessary, and desirable. (This is the opposite of reality).

(4) Because of (3) the President has grown tired of dealing with the diplomatic community, and frequently uses "backdoor" channels to try to implement his agenda. This is because, coming from the private sector, he thinks an executive ought to be able to get his subordinates to do what he tells them to. Little did he understand...

But then, I am 3.7% Neanderthal DNA, :D
Now people are starting to self-identify as Neanderthal? Great. I suppose next ya'll'll be demanding reparations.

Lol, while I am proud of my Caveman heritage, 3.7% does not a Caveman make.

My wife hates it, lol.
Hey, 3.7 is nothing to sneeze at. You only need about a quarter of that of Native American ancestry, and the local casinos will start sending you a briefcase stuffed with $100 bills every Friday

More thoughts on Ambassador Yovanobitch...

What a sad difference between the two....this puts things into perspective.

What "agenda" is the President implementing? All I see is his determination to get a public declaration out of Zelensky that he is going to investigate a debunked conspiracy theory (Crowdstrike) and the "Biden affair" which is ONLY coming up now months from the primaries because....Biden is ahead of Trump in the polls.
Look, DGS, you present the most rational explanation for Trump's actions that I've heard. What concerns me is your apparently correct #3 and #4. The President of the United States has National Intelligence agencies and the FBI that spend their lives finding out Stuff. Our President, though, ignores them when they tell him (1) the Biden thing WAS investigated (the FBI was even in on it) and Hunter Biden had nothing to do with it. VP Biden was doing the President's bidding when he told the Ukranians to get rid of Shokin. He did it in broad daylight and he made no secret of it and the Ukranians got the message and got rid of the guy who refused to help the UK and US prosecute Burisma. I mean, I'm not even privy to secret Stuff and I know that much. It's been in all the papers. Crowdstrike was also debunked as a nonsense conspiracy theory by the people who spent months and years sifting through those computers and who know there isn't a server sitting anywhere with the emails on it. Not even in Ukraine.

But our President doesn't believe that. Why? Why is he rattling on about poor Shokin and that terrible ambassador he recalled? Why does this sound SO MUCH like what the corrupt oligarchs want us to believe? Like Kent said, you can't push back on corruption without pissing some people off. Why does our President seem to be among those who are pissed?

Do you see where I'm coming from?

[3] The U.S. diplomatic community knows full well that their job is to implement stated U.S. foreign policy, as developed in an arduous inter-agency process, involving the president, the Secretary of State, the Pentagon and various intelligence services, among others.

[4] As this U.S. diplomatic community continued meticulously to implement stated U.S. foreign policy, they became an obstacle to Trump's corrupt, criminal shenanigans on foreign soil, which also couldn't see the light of day. And for that, for being a champion of stated U.S. foreign policy, Ambassador Yovanovich - an obstactle to Trump's corruption - ended up being recalled.

Oh, and, BTW, you fallen-on-your-head-too-often dolt, those are not Trump's "underlings". These are proud public servants, serving the U.S. of A. and holding the whole shop together, having sworn an oath to uphold the constitution, to which primarily belongs their loyalty, not to Trump. You alt-right authoritarians will never, ever understand that crucial distinction.

She is another deep state bitch.....in my personal opinion....is she lecturing on “fairness and dignity” really??????

a woman who illegally monitored US citizens? is ironic, right?

another commie left wing scum

The Career Diplomats and their State Dept. Cronies will do and say anything to protect their jobs and their Power. President Trump was under the Assumption that the Coup attempt was run by the DNC and DC Elites. He was right and he has now discovered how deep the Problem goes, career diplomats who think they are irreplaceable and untouchable.! Maria was a prime example.

Who Determine U.S foreign Policy ! That is in the Purview of The President and No other! The Executive branch directs foreign policy The State dept. "Employees" are there to implement it no matter how much they may disagree it. They don't get the option to decide which policies to implement based on how they feel about it. Taylor wasn't a bad pick he just lets his politics get in the way after 30+ yrs. of same ole same ole!
