It's an easy fix, just take a photo when the food is delivered and exactly who received it. As for tipping, not so much. These folks are paid to make deliveries, a tip is for going above what's required by the job.
Now for the video you posted, the gal should have been fired for confronting a customer the way she did. She should have just contacted the drug stores corporate HQ and requested the surveillance tape for that timeframe.
.
Thanks for a well mannered informative post. Thanks for a post without personal attacks and I enjoy having a conversation.
You can post without personal attacks unlike the BLM supporters like IM2 , Arlette Grumblenuts
To your point hereās the thing that folks who do not work in the gig economy know my good friend. Even when thereās video evidence like thereās been Uber drivers who have a camera in their car 24 7 and then all of a sudden they get fired for no reason they say hang on a second I have a video evidence to show you guys, Uber doesnāt care about it they wonāt even watch the video.
There are also examples of win DoorDash delivery drivers take a photo of the food they delivered, and they still get a contract violation due to circumstances beyond their control like the customer got the wrong food from the restaurant. And you should understand that restaurants sealed food in bags, and the driver canāt see whatās in the bag. So there has to be protection against this kind of thing. . This is a America. This is not a third world country although with the Democrats and their neocon Allyās theyāre trying to turn it into a third world country.
Tipping is expected anywhere in the service industry in America. And those who go āabove and beyondā usually get extra tips.
Thatās how these people live like for example, waiters and waitresses donāt make a minimum wage so they have to get tipped by the customer. This is an American value in American tradition. Like take for example a valet person, or a maid at a hotel or a barber. They all have to be tipped. Itās the same thing with a pizza delivery person. Itās customary in America to tip the pizza delivery guy not for going above and beyond but for them doing their job on time.
I mean, I agree with you totally if a pizza delivery person, a waiter , a valet is extremely rude and dirty or what not then they donāt deserve a tip.
As for the lady who was fired from Door Dash. God bless her for confronting that thief. That CVS manager is a thief she committed fraud. Thereās actually tons of videos on YouTube showing her getting delivered the food. She then lied about not getting the food that is literally fraud. CVS later fired that manager.
I donāt know if the Door Dash worker was rehired, but I think there was a go fund me for her, and she got some money for it from fellow Americans.
you can make the argument that she shouldnāt confront the manager, but I wholeheartedly agree with her and admire her for confronting the thief.
