Thoughts about repairing the FBI

I'll take that. On my end an entity focused on interstate crime, more efficient, better at catching spies, and less subject to going after political opponents of the day. The right argues they have been used against them recently. The left remembers when they were used against civil rights groups and political parties the government didn't like.
Like the KKK?

Nothing to revamp. So, no. You see a problem and have a problem because the man you supported, loved, and held up as the savior of your race, turned out to be a corrupt, incompetent grifter...which isn't news to those of us who have been watching him for four decades. He made all his own issues and now you want to blame the FBI for doing the job they are asked to do? These are civil servants DOING THEIR JOB!! And here you are, politicizing it. It begs the question, what is your endgame?

Must be why FBI agents are coming out of the woodwork in droves now coming to senators and others telling them how shocked and appalled they are over recent actions taken by upper echelons! But as usual Jack, everyone here agreeing with you is a kook and a flake.

Bet when they start using the military to break down doors on people speaking out against the government wanting others in office instead, you'll commend the army on another job well done.

WELL DONE, JACK!

Isn't that DHS?

They do not 'oversee' the FBI. They are just another extension of centralized power.
They were created because the FBI and CIA failed to do the jobs they were tasked with and 9/11/2001 happened. Instead of cleaning house at the FBI and CIA, Bush increased agencies like them by 200%. It was a band-aid fix and extra drain on the taxpayers. Also extra hassles to use air travel.
I guess 9/11 can be used as a valid reason to clean house at the FBI.

In another thread, a discussion has been continued about the concept of breaking down the present FBI in order rebuild it, in order to resolve a problem inherent in it which we are now seeing. (More accurately, some of us are seeing it. Some are not). It was suggested by Zincwarrior , therefore, that maybe we could generate a thread on the topic.

Here is the relevant portion of how it began:

So. Thread topicS ARE: whether we should revamp our FBI? whether there is some other/better method to avoid this odious politicization of the bureau? If we do revamp the FBI, how should it be done?
FBI.....Friendly to Biden Interests.

There has been no politicization of the FBI. Usually criminals are worried about the FBI. Trump is the biggest criminal of them all.

I've got it - CONTROL!

We could hire Maxwell Smart.

Not just the FBI, ALL of the Intel Agencies need to be disbanded along with 95% of current federal Departments

Once Progressive Fascists have tasted blood, you have to destroy them, you cannot make nice with them

Just like Putin ordered...

Your pro Putin agenda is coming more obvious....

No. I see a problem that exists. You don’t wish to see it because you happen to approve of the lawlessness as long as it’s directed against one of your political opponents.

That’s the problem with your type. You ONLY would consider it an issue or a problem if it were happening to Brandon or Shrillary. In actuality, however, the FBI was never supposed to be used as a tool of any political party.

There was no lawlessness. Trump was the one who wanted to investigate his political enemies. He even pressured Ukraine to launch a phony investigation of Biden. We had Trump supporters chanting "Lock her up!" You wanted to politicize the FBI you piece of Trump shit.

I believe that, technically, DOJ was supposed to have supervisory status over the FBI. Compare:

Versus

AFAIK, the DOJ does. Prosecutors, which is what the DOJ functionally is, are notoriously corrupt as well which is why we have a system that defaults to innocents and disallows double jeopardy. They are, essentially the same entity with the FBI being the enforcement arm of the DOJ.

IOW, they do not 'oversee' the FBI. In order for something to oversee an agency in my mind it must not have the exact same mission, goal or purpose. Otherwise they are working together rather than one overseeing the other.

Well, you are certainly ignorant. Your citation to the senate bullshit is ridiculous on its face. There is ZERO credible evidence that Russia aided the Trump campaign. And even if they chose to try to assist a candidate, they’d probably have gone for Shrillary in thanks for her aid on their behalf. (Uranium one). You’re very slow on the uptake, all hat and no cattle.

If they ever get you out of your coma, send up a flare.
That is the GOP led Senate intelligence report...

It led to Manafort going to Jail...

Read the report first...

We know you will believe Trump over our Senate, Intelligence agencies, Russians.... Evidence is the report...
