Thought Experiment - What if the shooter had succeeded ?

I have to wonder:

Would things have calmed down ?

Would there have been clashes ? It was reported that shortley afterwards, some of the crowd started menacing the press box until cooler heads prevailed ?

What would the GOP have done ?

Would the election have been delayed to give the GOP time to chose a new candidate (and of course, the same question comes up....what if Joe Biden dies of a heart attack on September 1st ?).

I am voting for Trump and I want him to win.

But I don't want a civil war.

I also can't think of who would take his place. It forces to me to really wonder what it is that DJT can do that nobody else can do.

Just wondering.

Remember what life was like before Trump? Now look at it after him. You tell me.

Is there supposed to be some logic behind this silly post ?

If so, please share it.

I could care less about streetwalkers and your obsession with raping children. Unless they are my children, I am unaffected for the most part, other than my desire to see their rapist drawn and quartered.

However, if Trump was assassinated, it does affect me so I am asking the question.

So here is another question for you.

Did you learn to be a jackass or is it a natural tendency for you ?

You make an asinine statement and I challenge it. You call that "being a jackass."
In reality it is exposing you as the jackass.

Your challenge was stupid.

That you don't understand logic or your fallacy isn't my problem.

Jackass.

Depends on your POV.

Life before Trump was dreary.

Obama was leading the slowest most sluggish recovery ever. But we were recovering.

Trump built on that reaching very good unemployment numbers.

Then along comes Biden.

It's been a joke for the last 3.4 years.

That's how I see it.

Probably much of what they are doing now. Blame Biden and Democrats for what happened. And try to make political hay out of it.

The outcome of the election probably wouldn't be different. Biden is a terrible candidate.

I see some of that. Not a lot.

But the real question is what would the GOP do ? Do they have the kind of contingency in place for such a thing ?

Run someone else. Maybe Haley. Maybe Rubio. It doesn't really matter who. Biden had his best chance against Trump. And he's still losing.

The convention wouldn't have happened yet. So they could reallocate their delegates behind a different candidate. And since Trump hadn't declared a VP, it would be a free-for-all. Eventually, someone would come out on top. Probably someone with deep inroads in the GOP infrastructure.

It raises a question, does/did the republican party have a plan B if Trump was assassinated before the election?

Sure: the convention or the VP candidate.

If he dies before the convention, the convention is where they chose another candidate. The delegates are up in the air and they argue it out.

If he dies after the convention, he has a VP candidate. And the VP just slips into the lead role.

Either way, they'll have it covered.

I doubt it would have calmed anything down. More likely, it would have become the first shot in the 2025 Plan author's civil war.
You've swallowed the bullshit hook line and sinker.

You're not very smart.

Actually, there would have been no delay in election...

Nikki Haley would be installed in a emergency RNC Convention...

Nikki would be about 5 points clear of Biden at this stage...

Pressure would come on Biden to quit as he is never winning...

If Kamila replaces him, Nikki wins...

If Michelle replaces him, it would be a tight affair, I say Michelle wins...

There would be a bit of violence but nothing that would affect the union itself (< 1000 killed)..

You asked a question, "would life have calmed down" if Trump had been killed. My reply was in response to that. I was not addressing the job performance of each president, but I'll touch on that below. Who is the one major figure in this country fueling hate and divisiveness with literally a non stop steady stream of lies and spoon fed fairytales in order to get people so riled up that they would try to overthrow the government? Who is packing the supreme court in order to take away women's reproductive rights? Trump is that figure. He sows chaos. He was massively responsible for spreading covid misinformation that got so big it spread beyond the US. Of course life would have calmed down. Just look at the 4 years he's been away. His influence is still very strong, but it's nothing like what it once was. Why on earth would anyone want that to return, on top of all the project 2025 nonsense as well?! It's just going to be a repeat of his first presidency but on steroids.

The world bank has concluded that the US economy is so strong that it's leading the world. Job growth is surging, wages are up. Unemployment has been at it's lowest point since before the pandemic. These are the actual facts. The one major complaint is that grocery prices are up because of price gouging, but I have no idea what Biden can do about that. If Trump becomes president he won't do shit about this either.

Interesting question .. I would assume they would target candidates like DeSantis, Younkin or Haley. A candidate that would carry the torch to defeat Biden.
Candidate elected out of convention, Haley wins all day...

Haley is GOP best chance of winning... Even better than Trump...

Privately there would be party in the GOP as they gain back control of the party from MAGA..

I trust 60+ court cases shown the door. Multiple recounts and audits in the swing states in question (garnering more votes for the declared winner). Even internal party audits in states like Michigan that found ZERO evidence of widespread fraud.
It was a lie perpetrated by the loser. And it has contributed to the bile and rancor that we see now.

You're not very smart either.

You know what a statistical moment is?

You know what a Poisson process is?

The courts are forbidden from accepting statistical evidence, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

The odds of this happening are about one in 10 million.

The odds of it happening in two states simultaneously are right up there with the number of stars in the universe.

Even in the red states that are hopelessly gerrymandered beyond reason, I don't question the integrity of their election officials and volunteers.

Really? How about the computers? How about the people who program the computers? How about the people who pay the people who program the computers?

Do you have any evidence that the computers or the people that program the computers did anything untoward regarding the election.

Of course not. Its just bullshit that echos in your echo chamber, backed by nothing. And what you've cited is votes being counted. Your '1 in 10,000,000' stat is just more nonsense you pulled sideways out of your ass. What you've cited are surges in reporting, not surges in actual vote counting rates....that happened when the mail in ballots were counted overnight.

Trump was an unpopular candidaste in 2020 in a struggling economy...and just lost. Every count, hand count, machine count, audit, forensic audit, official tally and electoral vote all of the same winner.

Biden in 2020. By a landslide

Dude - you're being stupid again

You're forcing yourself to reject what your eyes are seeing.

Look at the charts.

Look at the charts.
I see a surge in vote reporting after counting mail in ballots over night.

You imagine fantastical computers being hacked or unprogrammed to provide a fraudulent result....a fantasy backed by nothing. You have no evidence of any computer getting hacked. You have no evidence that anyone 'programmed' the voting machines to produce fraud.

You've imagined it all.

Its been almost 4 years. And you still have jackshit. If there was any meat on those bones, you'd have found it by now.

Instead, you continue to cling to a braindead fantasy contradicted by every count, every hand count, every machine count, every audit, every official tally, every certificate ascertainment, and the electoral vote.

Worse, you obviously don't believe your own bullshit. If you did, you would never vote as there would be no point. The Big Lie is just a balm for delicate, fragile egos that can't process that their candidate just lost.
