Thought about getting one of those and then I realized you have to sit there till the dirty water drains and redeposits yech on ya before you can open the door.

Holy crap, you're right!
I'm looking at them for my mom, who will be moving in with me at some point. I was looking at an old (OLD) house that needs everything remodeled (and then some) and was thinking about the main floor bathroom and had decided that that sort of tub was the way to go for her. She's 76, arthritic, has had both hips replace, has spinal nerve damage which means she's not real steady.

The thing is, they all have hand-held shower heads, so you wouldn't HAVE to soak.

And one hopes the drain is a good size.
