The site is also slow everyday. At least there is hope of fixing that part.

Was it sternly worded?I sent an email to the admins.
It was extremely odd yesterday, but I'd picked up a virus on Firefox. My other messageboard was whack too. So, Mozilla uninstalled, duckduckgo installed, and everything is fine now. This place is odd everyday...
I'm still ok since clearing cookies and site data earlier today. If you did a reinstall that would do the same thing. It was extremely odd yesterday, but I'd picked up a virus on Firefox. My other messageboard was whack too. So, Mozilla uninstalled, duckduckgo installed, and everything is fine now.
I've used DDG on my phone for many years now. I haven't seen any problems.I'm still ok since clearing cookies and site data earlier today. If you did a reinstall that would do the same thing.
I used to use DDG and found it was slowing everything down.
I had slow problems a few years ago, started unplugging extensions and when I did DDG, no more issues.I've used DDG on my phone for many years now. I haven't seen any problems.
USMB has obviously been demoted to the low-end servers that struggle to handle the garbage/junk functions.Either some archiving needs to take place, or you are having issues with one of the - MANY - adbots.
At times it gets unusable.
There is no connection issue as there is no latency when pinging the server when the lagging occurs.
My bet - is one of the adbots is churning and churning.
Sure is a function of downloading.USMB has obviously been demoted to the low-end servers that struggle to handle the garbage/junk functions.
The failing garbage function keeps re-instantiating objects, clogging the browser side cycle and needs the 'fix' ... server side.Sure is a function of downloading.
Something seems a bit odd today.
FYI - I cleared cookies and site data and so far it's not slowing.
I said it crapped out in a post about an hour ago.I'm not buying it: one second, the server responds instantly, a moment later, it takes a minute for the stack to access my request to view my current alerts drop-down list.
You'd think something would be done as this is very well known for months. The failing garbage function keeps re-instantiating objects, clogging the browser side cycle and needs the 'fix' ... server side.
Yep.... Probably carrying too much in the archives and there's no doubt that the adware pressure is pulling on the service processor capacities.Either some archiving needs to take place, or you are having issues with one of the - MANY - adbots.

Last I heard was a whole bunch of bots since Trump was elected are overflowing the system.
Well everyone hated Trump during 45 and I don't recall these issues.
I see postings have dropped off during the day....... probably from the 'issue'.

Hope the shoulder gets better.I'm just glad I'm not the only one it is happening to. I thought these pain pills I take for my shoulder were just ******* with my perception of time.
