Democrats wake up every day and try to think of another way to fuck with the citizens of the US. They never have a good idea, like having standards that enable firefighters not only to carry their own equipment, but very heavy hoses up a flight of stairs. Then open the nozzle and put a very heavy stream of water on the fires. Nope, Democrats love making life hard for everyone, until it is their own houses that are lit on fire, and then the crocodile tears start flowing. The people in Californication, keeps electing the dumbass leftists, then deserve all the misery the leftists want to impose on them.

This sort of thing has been going on for decades. In Pittsburgh in the '70's. they shrunk the rescue dummy from 180 lbs to less than a hundred, so women could at East have some hope of carrying it in testing and training. Unconscious victims must be pre-qualified for firefighter assistance. Too fat, too bad.

One of the last names of the politicians signing this proposal is Looney. Huh.

I was a fire fighter for a year in a small town we had two women on the team who passed the training exam. They had no special needs they did all the men did and no complaints. Rules like the above are made by those in ivory towers with little real world experiences.

Right but it seems being able to carry your own safety equipment would be non negotiable. Seriously 50#'s isn't that much to expect someone to carry regardless of being a woman.

Whatever the PT differences may exist, one is always going to have their gear on......~S~

I think that's great! Talk about an immediate end to DEI.

All of those weak twits will simply die.

They should be paid alot more to fight fires.

In our training school we had to carry a large exhaust fan up three flights of stairs turn it on then run and jump off the roof. The fan was easily 50 pounds or more and those ladies did it as did I . Jumping off a three story building into an air bag was a blast for all of us. :)

same experience here Ig

anecdotally, one really can't identify much inside a burning structure , with turnout & SCBA, and you get whoever's available mutual aid

so after putting down the dragon , we would all be outside taking off the gear , scba, nomex hood, helmets to catch some fresh air

and this one FF lets all her blond hair on down.......we were in with a girl, and didn't even know it!

oh the humanity!...... ~S~

Stupid is as stupid does. DEI is all that matters.

Can one of those women pick up a unconscious two hundred pound man and fireman's carry him down three flights of stairs? Found out in the military that not one woman could achieve that, while many of the men could. The DEI men couldnt either, and that is why the secretary of Defense will bring back the original training specs for soldiers.
