Now this way my folks in the 70s more than the 60s. I was just akid.

What gets me are pictures taken back during that era. They were all dressed very well, and had an air of dignity to them.

Today, people tend to look homeless, has so many tattoos and piercings you would think they joined the circus or the military back in that day, with colored hair of course, as if that looks good.

Even though they did not have all the technological conveniences, their lives were happier and they did not struggle as badly financially.

Look at pictures of people at a Baseball game, movies, air travel, restaurants, church…

What gets me is I go to a funeral where people dressed out of respect

We had one car, a manual mower, no pool, no dishwasher, no housekeeper and always drove for vacations. Yes to the rest.

As cool as a pool or fancy vacations seemed what I would’ve wanted the most was the two bathrooms or my own bedroom.

I remember in the 60s a color TV cost around $400. More than two weeks pay for my Dad.
We had to wait until the B&W TV wore out till my Dad bought a new one. That was in the early 70s

Young people want all those things on the list. And rightfully so. Young married couples are both working and often foregoing kids to get what they want. Can we blame them? I sure don't. Why barely scrape by when one can have nice things?
