How real are those guns?
That is nice, though. This is why America is badass.
Our military twirls rifles like a gunslinger twirls 6-shooters, and they can put one right in between your eyes at any time.
I seriously doubt there is another country where the general populace shoots as good as Americans.
Shiet, I've seen a woman pop a balloon at 100 yards backwards with a bow.
She does that. 'Murica!

Not being there or being able to zoom, hard to say, but they appear to be standard issue M-14s. When I've seen these drills---many, many years ago--those were the weapons that were used.

I know why. That is some damned hard stuff to do. I know it is all just ceremonial, but we have the best fighting men and women in the world. One of the B-2 bomber pilots who bombed Iran's Fordow was a woman.

They flew 37 hours from Missouri across the Atlantic with 125 other planes, flew past the Straits of Gibraltar, across the Mediterranean, over Israel and Iraq into Iran, bombed the bejeesus out of them, turned around and flew home, without ever taking on a single defensive attack.

Those are real, eleven-pound M-1 Garands they are spinning. It's not easy, my ROTC Drill Team used them in High School. Our routines were more complex than that one. We had one routine where the leader marched between two lines of troops while we spun rifles in front of and in back of him at the same time. He had less than six inches of clear space to be in. Most Drill Teams use three-pound toy rifles instead of real ones. Doing a routine like we did, or these Marines are doing takes courage, strength, skill plus endless hours of practice to get the timing right. People can be badly injured when things go wrong.
