And I have turned in Tax Excemption papers from workers with stolen ids and SSNs .

Many are good workers and good people but they only pay SSN taxes. They send all their money home after paying the drug cartels money to get good ids.

E-VERIFY doesnt catch these.

Its a damn racket. And if these illegals dont pay.....their family back home is dead.

Actually investigate the agencies and find out what they do, what works, what doesn’t.
Hire people who are efficiency experts not 20 year old computer geeks
Actually talk to the people who do the job on what rules are making their jobs harder or are not needed

Common Core was never required by the federal government. Many states never adopted it and several others dropped it after the media got a hold of it with their false information.

One of the original reasons for promoting Common Core was actually military families. If you learn certain information in a certain grade, moving your family over Christmas break would not put your child 5 months ahead or behind their classmates. California would be at the same place as Florida and vice versa.

I'm not buying that as a good thing. Students capable of learning faster should be allowed to do that. The tiny oil patch town I grew up in had excellent schools. Students graduating there had an education were on a par with graduates of most four year universities. Most teachers I know well hated Common Core because it took so much creativity out of teaching and learning.

That has nothing to do with Indvidual students learning. It has to do with pacing coverage of the material in a certain order. How fast you complete it is up to you.

They had the school curriculum that was aligned to the standards. I never taught with a pre-planned curriculum that was aligned with the standards. There is no Common Core curriculum. Either you misunderstood what they did not like, or your teachers are ignorant. Creativity is not limited by the standards. How you teach the standards is up to the individual teacher if they are not used a commercially available curriculum aligned to the CC standards.

For example, I taught the quadratic equation for solving polynomials using a YouTube video of the song set to the music of Adele's Rolling in the Deep. It's quite cute! The kids can sing the song to themselves to learn the formula.

There is just so much BS about CC out there, some of spread by teachers who did not want to be held to a standard or hold their students accountable.

I didn't say I did know anything about Common Core But those among my friends and family who did all tell me they didn't like it. Nothing in your post changes that.
